At The Leonard and Syril Rubin Early Childhood Center at the JCC, families are part of a special community within the larger JCC community. Throughout the year there are multiple opportunities for parents to share in and contribute to our school happenings, from attending special holiday or Shabbat events, to participating in our Parents Association.
Partnership and open communication between parents and the school is very important to us. This happens in several ways, such as Parent Association (PA) activities, parent classroom participations, twice yearly Parent-Teacher Conferences and written communication and photographs through Kaymbu, our online parent communication tool.
All parents are encouraged to visit classrooms to share a special interest, talent, or hobby. Children love having their parents come to school to spend time in their classrooms. In addition, parents are invited to visit their child’s classroom on birthdays. Each child will also have the opportunity to invite their family in as Shabbat guests to participate in classroom Shabbat activities, and Shabbat Sing.
